What is a Tag?

Tagging is a simple way of categorizing, identifying and sorting web pages.  A tag is a simple word or short phrase, like:

• Scripture
• Bible Study
• Cell Resource
• Help
• Bill Smith
• Africa

It can be any word that people would think of to help find that particular page or information.  Wiki pages can have any number of tags, and people (with contributor status) are invited to freely add tags to pages to make them more accessible.

Tags are listed in the tool column to the right of the page.  Addings tags is done through the "edit window," using the "tags" box at the bottom of the page, or by clicking the word "Tags" to the right of the page.

You can find pages that are about a similar topic by search the tag phrase in the search box, or by clicking on the tag on any page.  This will open up a page listing all the wiki pages that have that same tag.
