Editing
Editing is when a user actually changes an article entry. This is the feature that sets a wiki apart from every other kind of web page. A user might edit an article for a variety of reasons. It may be done to clean up the writing, making it more clear. It may be done to add information the original author left out. It may be done to add other ideas, arguments, and interpretations to the original article making it more complete. Most webpages don't allow users to freely edit them, but wikis operate on a different principle. As more people bring their knowledge, experience and expertise to a topic, the more helpful and more accurate it becomes. We welcome anyone interested to become a contributor or editor. However, to prevent post-spam or defacing, we do have a password for editors. If you'd like to be a contributor please let us know.
How to Edit a Page
It's easier than you'd expect.
1. Be a contributor. To prevent vandalism, we require people who want to contribute to identify themselves and get a contributor access. Learn more about that here. Once you have this taken care of you can edit most any page in the wiki or create new ones.
2. Surf to the page you wish to edit. Locate and select the "edit" tab at the top of the page. Clicking this tab will switch to "edit mode." Instead of seeing the page as others do, you will see it in a WYSIWYG editor window.
3. The Editor Window includes all the tools you need to create or edit your article. The tools will look familiar to you if you've used any word processor or web-based text tool. It looks like this:

Type text or edit text in the window. Highlight text that you want to format and then select the appropriate button. (i.e. Bold, Italics, color, etc.) You can also insert pictures, URLS and other kinds of links, using the other tools there.
4. Freely experiment. You cannot harm the wiki. One of the magic elements of the wiki software is that is records every change to every page, and any page can be reverted to a previous revision by clicking the "page history" button at the top of the "view" page and selecting the version you want. So, if you make a terrible mess, you can also easily fix it.
