Daily Bible Reading - New Testament

Page history last edited by Carl Shelton 11 mos ago

Important Transitional Note:  We are still in the process of transferring all the pages over from the Ripples Wiki.  Links in the daily schedule starting with MONDAY JULY 14th, are correct and will be working.  This is where we will be doing the daily study.  Links before this have not yet been updated to have everything we've already done this year.  That will be coming slowly.  Thanks for the inconvenience.  If you want to review comments made on previous days, or catch up on reading, the ripples wiki will still be live and functional through September.

Summary

This schedule presents the New Testament in the course of a year at a leisurely pace of one chapter each day, progressing from Matthew through Revelation. This is a very managable pace for most people with less than fifteen minutes of reading. This pace will allow more time for reflection and study on the passages, as you become more familiar with the life and words of Jesus, and the history of the early church.

This Reading Plan in 2008

This is our Guided Reading Cohort for 2008. A community of people will be reading and commenting together as the year progresses. We invite you to join us for this journey as we grow in our understanding of God and our relationships with each other. There is currently no printable schedule for this reading plan, but the schedule is simple. We start with Matthew 1 on January 1 and we read 1 chapter each week-day, with 5 days of reading each week. So, keep a marker in your Bible on the appropriate schedule, and you'll always know what to read next. Of course the daily links below will present the reading, and the comment links for that day. If you have questions or need help, please contact us directly here.

Please use the Comment Links generously. The more people are checking in and commenting, the more we have a sense that we are not alone in our endeavor. You can simply check in with something like: "Read it!" or you can post your questions, comments, and personal reflections. Please feel free to interact with each other. The relationships that develop here are an important part of the process.
