Creating a New Page
The Bridge Wiki is an ever-expanding resource. We want new pages to be added as people share their ideas, new communities are created, and more resources are added. Any contributor can create new pages. We welcome anyone interested in constructive contribution to become a contributor, but in order to prevent post-spam or defacing, we do require them to identify themselves and receive access. More about that here.
There are basically two ways to create a new page.
1. Create a new page from scratch. On every wiki page there is a "Create page" in the upper right corner. Click this link to initiate a new page.
2. Create a page from a link within an existing page. If you are editing a page, you can create a "potential link" for a new page using the "Insert a link to a new page" button on the right side. Type a line of text that you want to link to the new page, or highlight existing text and then click this link. Once this is done, save the page. Then find the link you just created in the page and click on it. This will open up the new page dialoge.
When you create a new page you will be asked to title it. This title will also form the URL of the page, so keep it clear, simple and as short as it can be and still communicate well. For example "Creating A New Page" is a better page title than "How to Create A New Wiki Page."
You will also be given the option of selecting one of several pre-designed page templates, or a blank page to begin with. Write your article, create your page, insert links and pictures, and when you're done, save it. Congratulations. You've made a new page.
